is the investment management branch which acts as the Investment Manager of Category II Alternative Investment Fund – namely Areion Special Situation Fund (“Fund”) focusing on investing in distressed assets.

Transaction Advisory division

is the resolution and recovery sector which was established due to increased emphasis by the Reserve Bank of India on improving asset quality and capital adequacy, which caused a large number of Banks and Institutions to focus on NPA Management.

Recovery division

assists in the Acquisition and Resolution of Retail Stressed Financial Assets acquired from banks, financial institutions and other Qualified sellers.

Distressed Real Estate division

is the real estate consulting team having significant expertise to minimize risk and develop practical strategic options regarding resources and assets to fit their organizational strategy whether distressed property is undeveloped land.

NBFC division

is a one stop solution for all financial needs through tailor-made products based on specific requirements. Its primary object is to provide efficient Credit Delivery through customized products to various segments like MSMEs, Real Estate

Asset Reconstruction division

The Asset Reconstruction division’s objective is to acquire and resolve stressed assets. It acquires sub-standard / doubtful and loss assets from banks and financial institutions in a structured and systematic manner which includes preliminary review of the distressed asset, due diligence, execution of transaction / legal documents and issue of Security Receipts.

– The Founder

Manish Lalwani

He is a distinguished Chartered Accountant with a Master’s Degree in Commerce. He has an extensive track record in managing Non-Performing Assets (NPAs), combining due diligence with strategic advisory solutions to drive successful buy-side and sell-side transactions. 

Throughout his career, he has successfully managed high-value deals, with a particular focus on distressed assets and corporate restructuring. His expertise spans across multiple sectors, including Auto-components, FMCG, Education, Healthcare, Edible Oil, Textile, and Iron & Steel. 

He has been consistently recognized for his leadership and significant contributions to India’s financial sector. In 2025, he was honoured with the Hindustan Times Crafting Bharat Awards – 40 Under 40, for driving innovation in wealth management and financial distress resolution.

Manish Lalwani

is Chartered Accountant and holds Master’s Degree of Commence. He brings with him immense experience in origination, structuring and executing transactions. He has driven various deals and enjoys good relationships with financial institutions and Investors.
He has handled investment ranging from USD 1 million to USD 20 million with turnaround potential as part of corporate restructurings and special situation. Has worked across sectors – Auto- components, FMCG, Educational, Health, Edible Oil, Textile, and Iron & Steel. Apart from corporate restructuring he also handled various assignment for Resolution of NPAs and NPLs loan and Due Diligence assignment for sale of NPA, Buy side and Sale side advisory for the same. Prior to promoting ACAIPL Corporate Advisors (India) Private Limited, he was worked Tata Consultancy Services Limited and Special Situation Advisors (India) Pvt Ltd.
