Asset Management division is the investment management branch which acts as the Investment Manager of Category II Alternative Investment Fund – namely Areion Special Situation Fund (“Fund”) focusing on investing in distressed assets. The Fund currently has two schemes viz. Areion Special Situation Scheme I and Areion Special Situation Scheme II and managed by Areion Assets Management Private Limited. The Company covers the full spectrum of real estate valuation services, ranging from evaluating large and diverse portfolios to performing single property analyses as well as the identification and valuation of tangible and intangible real estate related assets. The team at real estate division have experience with various transactions involving purchases and sales, complex leasing, sales and leasebacks, exchanges, options, joint ventures, and partnerships, as well as tenant in common sales, purchases, and exchanges.
The Asset Reconstruction division’s objective is to acquire and resolve stressed assets. It acquires sub-standard / doubtful and loss assets from banks and financial institutions in a structured and systematic manner which includes preliminary review of the distressed asset, due diligence, execution of transaction / legal documents and issue of Security Receipts. Thereafter, it aims to revive the stressed assets in the best possible manner keeping in mind the interest of all stakeholders and compliance with the extant RBI guidelines, by way of restructuring/ rescheduling the payment of debts by the borrower, providing additional finance for restructured accounts, settlement of dues payable by the borrower, enforcement of security interest, change in or takeover of management of the business of the borrower, or sale or lease of part or whole of the business of the borrower.
